Empowering the daughters of tomorrow

The I Am Project
Branthem Giveback Case Study

The Background

In February 2017 after the success of our first project, The World 4 Peace Project, we were inspired to create a branthem that created a positive message for girls and women. We didn’t know who would come on board, but we knew we had an important message to share, and that we wanted to ensure that the message was about empowerment, potential, and the incredible worth that girls and women have in this place we call earth.

The Project

With a strong message we created a branthem where we have never been before, fusing together rap and choir with a pop hook that would sum it up in two words – “I AM”. Through a global casting call I recruited not just singers, but women from all walks of life who wanted to get involved. With smart phone technology and the Internet we used our sister company, Choir In The Cloud to create an all-female ‘virtual choir’. We were so honoured when the Australian Girls Choir jumped on board – they are such a fantastic advocate for girls in the arts, not only in their main choral programs, but through their charity initiatives. To also have US Rap Artist Gizzle feature on this track was incredibly humbling, having collaborated with the world’s best, including Puff Daddy, as well as our very own Delta Goodrem.

And also some fantastic Melbourne talents, Mish Fornito, the voice of the Western Bulldogs Female AFL, and hip-hop up-and-comer Mel Van Dyk, who was hand picked as the third and final featured lead vocal for the project.
